Since the 17th century, when Blaise Pascal inadvertently created a spinning wheel mechanism while experimenting with perpetual motion machines, roulette has grown into the most iconic symbol in the casino world. The name "roulette" itself comes from the French word meaning "little wheel" — and over the course of hundreds of years, that little wheel has changed the fortunes of millions of players across the globe. G9King now brings this rich gaming heritage directly to Malaysian players' screens, with a wider selection of variations than any other platform in the country.
What makes roulette so compelling is the simplicity of its concept combined with the depth of strategy it allows. On the surface, the game is straightforward – place your chips on a number or area of the betting layout, the dealer spins the wheel, the ball rolls and settles on a number. But beneath that simplicity lies a rich payout structure, a wide range of bet types with varying odds, and room to develop sophisticated playing strategies. This is what makes roulette equally appealing to beginners and seasoned players alike.
Among all the roulette variants offered at g9king, European Roulette remains the most popular and is the top recommendation for players who prioritise the best value. The European Roulette wheel features 37 slots – numbers 1 to 36 plus a single zero (0). The house edge is 2.7%, giving a Return to Player (RTP) of 97.3% – among the highest of any casino game.
Unlike American Roulette, which features two zero slots (0 and 00), European Roulette has only a single zero, giving players better odds over the long run. Certain European Roulette variations at G9King also offer special rules — "La Partage" or "En Prison" — that further reduce player losses when the ball lands on zero during an even-money bet.
The biggest innovation in online casino in recent decades is live dealer technology – and G9King makes full use of it at the roulette tables. G9King's live dealer roulette connects you with professional dealers broadcasting in real time from an actual casino studio, streamed in high resolution directly to your device. You can watch the dealer spin the wheel, track the ball's movement live, and interact via the chat function.
The live dealer experience is a world apart from standard RNG (computer) roulette. There's an invaluable human element – the dealer's reaction when a big number hits, the lively studio atmosphere, and the satisfaction of watching a real wheel spin right before your eyes. G9King offers several active live dealer roulette tables running 24 hours a day, including standard European Roulette, Lightning Roulette with special multipliers, Speed Roulette for faster rounds, and Immersive Roulette with multiple camera angles for a more dramatic view.
If you're looking for a roulette variant that brings an element of surprise and the potential for much bigger wins, Lightning Roulette at g9king is the one to try. Every round, the system randomly selects between one and five "lightning numbers" that receive special multipliers – from 50x up to 500x if the ball lands on those numbers.
In a standard round of European Roulette, a straight-up bet (single number) pays 35:1. In Lightning Roulette, however, numbers selected as lightning numbers can pay up to 500:1 – an extraordinary potential return from a single bet. This makes Lightning Roulette one of the most exciting and most-played live dealer games at G9King.
G9King takes responsible gambling seriously, especially for casino games like roulette that can be highly immersive. It is important to understand that roulette is a game of pure chance — no strategy can guarantee consistent winnings over the long term. Every spin is an independent event and is not influenced by the outcome of any previous spin.
We recommend players set loss limits and win limits before they start, never wager more than they can afford to lose, and treat roulette as entertainment rather than a source of income. G9King provides account management tools that allow you to set daily or weekly deposit limits to support responsible play. A basic strategy guide — understand how each system works before trying it at G9King
Double your bet after every loss. When you win, return to your original bet amount. The most well-known strategy for even-money bets (red/black).
High risk — requires a large bankrollDouble your bet after every win, then return to the original stake after a loss. It capitalises on winning streaks while protecting your initial bankroll.
Safer for beginnersFollow the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13…) to determine your bet size. Move one step forward in the sequence after a loss, and two steps back after a win.
Systematic and controlledWager the same amount every round regardless of wins or losses. The safest strategy for long-term bankroll management, and highly recommended for beginners.
Suitable for all levelsIt's important to understand that no roulette strategy can mathematically overcome the house edge. All the strategies above are bankroll management tools, not guarantees of winning. G9King encourages responsible gaming. Please visit Responsible Gaming page us for further guidance.
